Watering Cans II
I really have enjoyed designing these, and will admit I have enjoyed using them too! My garden and house plants are well under way this season and I am excited to see if the watering cans can enhance my green thumb!
Memorial Ashes Pitcher Set
I had proposed a project using human ashes in an urn project while in school, and a classmate had referred this person to me with interest in doing something similar.
Watering Cans
This series of watering cans began as an idea to create something that would challenge me formally. I had never tried making something with two handles, and a spout which all compete with each other for visual space…
Rx Divider Set
This set makes it the fanciest part of my day and celebrates the moment of pause and self-care that comes along with this ritual.
What is Soda Firing?
This process involves a lot of extra steps while firing than using an electric kiln, which means they take much longer to create, but I love the outcome and the thrill it gives me!
Citrus Reamers
Citrus Reamers have been on my mind for a long time now, and I am excited to show you my progress! Bring on summer and its lemonade!
Tea Set Commission
A clients favourite flowers and china patterns came together in this commission. Why have one spout when you can have two?
Tea Strainers
Every day I have a cup of tea, and I wanted to make something to help me go through my loose leaf collection.
Pitcher and Basin Series
Before we had running water, pitcher and basins were essential in the ritual of washing our hands. How does a largely obsolete object such as this function in this new context?
Atmospheric Firing
Wood, soda and salt firing have been intoxicating to me. Sharing agency over the final surface is what makes this work so exciting for me as a maker!
Botanical Illustration
Looking back now at my obsession with scientific drawings and classifications of the natural world, I see how ironically, I took such comfort in a system of order which is constantly in flux.
Layered Jars
My fascination with botanical illustrations is apparent in this series of jars. The moments of overwhelm and calm quiet hold these objects in tension.
What would you keep inside these jars?
Biologic Dissonance
The reclamation of my cycle as that of a source of power than a source of shame has been deeply healing. I have through this work begun to think of my body as a vessel for creation that is not limited to biological creation.
